The French Department seeks 2 Teaching Assistants for the following course:

FSL100H1S - Elementary French I

An intensive basic course in spoken and written French for students who have no knowledge of French: comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate student in French studies. Teaching experience. Fluency in French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of the use of Quercus, specifically test manager and communication tools.

Relevant Criterion

Past teaching experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of
this posted position.

Duties

Preparation, contact hours, marking, conducting tutorials, attending coordinator’s meetings, meeting with course instructor.

Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located. Where the duties are intended to be performed at another location, such other location will be specified in the posting.

Final availability of the position(s) is contingent upon enrolment, budgetary consideration and the determination of appointments as governed by the collective agreement.

Rate of Pay:

SGS II - $52.97/hour (+ vacation pay)
