Please note that if you are enrolling for the first time at the University of Toronto in a French Language, Literature or Linguistics course and if you have any pre-knowledge of French you MUST TAKE THE ON-LINE PLACEMENT TEST. Self-placement is not permitted in our program and will result in being dropped from the class.
You can do the placement test online http://www.lang.utoronto.ca/pt2004/placement_fr.html or schedule an appointment to write the test in the department (Monday to Friday from 9h30 to 11h00 or 13h30 to 15h00) by contacting the Department's secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 416.926.2302.
Ideally, the Placement Test should be taken in the term preceding the course in which students intend to register (e.g., for a Fall term or Y course, during the summer term prior to ROSI registration and before the beginning of classes).
You will receive no adjustment to your fees in the event that you must withdraw from a course for failing to have the necessary prerequisites or for not following the placement test recommendation. This decision may not be appealed.
Considérant que rien de ce qui touche la langue française ne lui est étranger, la revue Arborescences se veut un espace de réflexion sur les enjeux actuels des études françaises aussi bien en littérature, en linguistique qu’en didactique.
